When a person has a dream of becoming a musician, too often the dream goes unfulfilled. However, this is not the case for Gigi Love who is currently participating in a National Parks centennial songs project. The artist plans to write a song related to the iconic community and scenery of each park.

Work in this realm is deeply rooted in a passion for nature, history and beauty. As part of the project, the singer plans on creating a song based on the iconic aspects of each national park. After which, an album will be recorded and released. Once released, the CD will be available through the artist's website, online markets and at stores.

After purchasing a mandolin from a rock climber, Gigi wondered into a meadow and wrote a song. It is during this time Gigi started the National Parks Songs project. One which, has now been in existence for the last ten years. Since that time, Ms. Love has been working to expand the initial sampler into a full length album.

The new album clearly reflects that doing so was a good idea. For, now in the studio, Ms. Love is working on the full-length recording, one which will reflect the history, iconic scenery and natural aspects of park settings. Due out in December 2016, Gigi is anxious to get the word out about this new and exiting project and release.

With a love for nature and learning, Gigi adores traveling and visiting popular and primitive areas. In fact, a great deal of inspiration comes from a number of natural settings in and outside the parks. For, the singer also acquires fans, makes friends and often becomes a part the local community performing in different areas.

While a three song EP has been recorded and released, it is only a small taste of what is yet to come. Once the full length compact disc is out in December 2016, there is no doubt the world will know more about Ms. Love as well as the different parks. For, while each are part of the National park system, each location has an individual icon beauty, and story to tell.

One of the biggest performances of the young artist's life was to open for the Dave Matthews Band at the Columbia River Gorge. In addition, Gigi performed at the closing ceremony of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. Ms. Love has also been a featured, and open-mic performer and at a number of different venues. Whether playing at a coffee house, club or special event, the singer often draws a large crowd.

The singer-songwriter's hopes are that these songs will not only entertain but also inspire others. Whether that inspiration be in relation to visiting the parks, or to create interesting and unique projects in the arts. For, the National Parks Songs project is one of the biggest to have ever been sanctioned by the parks to date. As such, those looking for performance space, may want to consider similar alternatives rather than sticking to traditional clubs, theaters and other indoor venues.
