"Simon and Simon, " "Murder She Wrote, " "Remington Steele, " "The Hardy Boys, " "Nancy Drew, " "McMillan & Wife, " "Columbo" and "Mrs. Columbo" are great programs to view. They are also old mystery tv shows that American people love to watch. These series were first introduced during the 1970's and early 80's and they appeal to a large population.

"Simon and Simon" was quite unique since it centered on the relationship between two siblings who were also detectives. All of the female fans loved to watch the younger brother since he was so handsome and kind. The older brother seemed to be more gruff and always had a bad attitude. These two boys loved their mother very much and she liked to help them with their current cases.

American people liked to compare the woman on "Murder She Wrote" with the great Ms. Marple who was created by Agatha Christie. This is yet another idea that Americans stole from the British. The old lady within this series was a true manipulator and she would always trap the killer by the end of the program. Fortunately a police detective on this series helped her out quite a bit.

"Remington Steele" had deep blue eyes which people loved to stare into. He was always so suave and sophisticated throughout the entire series even though his title was unreal. The woman who ran this detective agency had merely created Remington when her business was not doing so great financially. Customers eventually came to her agency because of the elegant Mr. Steele. The series had a good run on television and is now seen in syndication.

Whenever a crime is committed on the beach Joe and Frank Hardy will always be around to solve it. These two young men are known as "The Hardy Boys" and the world remembers them from many books that were written. The guys enjoy dating, surfing and romancing each and every good looking chick that comes their way. They are also good at catching thieves, murderers and other people who enjoy doing criminal acts.

"Nancy Drew" took her crime solving skills more seriously than the boys. She was a solo act even though she occasionally teamed up with Frank and Joe. Nancy even let Frank Hardy romance her from time to time. Her best girlfriend would always come to her aide whenever any of the mysteries got out of hand.

A very short man named "Columbo" took his job quite seriously and he enjoyed locking criminals in a jail cell. He was the greatest crime solver that was ever created for television viewers and everybody loved him. Peter Falk had an unusual way of playing this character and no one else matched his style. Criminals all around tried to avoid Mr. Columbo since he could solve any crime within an hour.

"Mrs. Columbo" was very young and beautiful but she did not have the same appeal as her television husband. Even though she was related to the great Columbo viewers were not interested in her crime solving abilities and they quickly turned her program off after one season.
